We are sisters who found painting as a way to explore identity, connection, and creativity—each in our own way. Growing up with a shared Japanese heritage and a deep appreciation for nature, we’ve taken different but complementary approaches to our work. Emily’s art is grounded in storytelling, incorporating found materials and family history to create layered, textural pieces that reflect both place and memory. Kiki’s paintings are abstract and intuitive, using color and movement as a way to embrace spontaneity and personal expression.

Together, our work is a reflection of our parallel journeys—seeking balance between structure and freedom, past and present, precision and play. Through our paintings, we hope to invite others into that exploration, encouraging connection, curiosity, and creative discovery.
